Church of England shares details of Living in Love and Faith project

The Church of England has launched a new website with details of the next steps in what's being called the 'Living in Love and Faith' project.

You'll recall that, following the refusal of General Synod to take note of the Bishops' report GS 2055, back in February 2017, the Archbishops set up two linked pieces of work around pastoral guidance and theological teaching.  The new website, which you can reach here, explains how this process will move forward.  It contains some helpful information, not least the names of those involved with the work, and how they were appointed, and of the way in which both elements of the work are intended to comlement and inform one another.

OneBodyOneFaith welcomes the increasing sense of transparency and openness which seems to be characterising the latest phase of the process and we look forward to our members being invovled so that the gifts and voices of LBGTQI people continue to inform this crucial work.  Our message to the bishops remains the same as it was in February 2018:  we'll work with you, but we won't wait for you.  We know there is some excellent work emerging at the grassroots of our church and we urge the bishops to grasp this opportunity to be brave and courageous in following where the Spirit is leading God's people.
