Could you be the treasurer trustee OneBody is looking for?
Trustee vacancy: Treasurer
The trustees of OneBodyOneFaith are seeking to co-opt to the board a new trustee with the skills and experience to act in the role of Treasurer. As a membership organisation funded entirely by our supporters, we take seriously our responsibility for the stewardship of our resources, and are committed to using them effectively to achieve real and lasting change. Could you help us deliver on this vision?
OneBodyOneFaith is a national charity which seeks to enable individuals and faith groups to engage with issues of faith, sexuality and gender identity in affirming and life-enhancing ways. As we enter an exciting phase in our development, we wish to identify a new member of the Board with specific skills and experience (as outlined on the Role Description) to take forward our ambitions plans with us, and to ensure they remain on a firm and sustainable footing.
We hope to co-opt to the board in April 2018, with a view to the new trustee’s appointment being confirmed by members at the AGM in May. The initial term of appointment is three years, with the possibility of seeking election for a further three year term.
If you are interested in the opportunity, you will need to be committed to, and able to publically affirm, our Statement of Conviction. You do not need to identify as a practicing Christian, and the role is open to individuals of any sexual orientation and gender identity. Women and people living outside London and the south of England are currently under-represented on our board. You will need to be eligible to act as a Charity trustee and company director; further details can be provided on request.
Expressions of interest should be made to the Chair of Trustees, Canon Peter Leonard, for an informal conversation in the first instance.
