Rev Dr Thomas Sharp TSSF SCP

Thomas (he/they) is an Anglican priest and theologian based in the South-East of England. They are Tutor for Pastoral Theology and Lay Ministry Lead at St Augustine’s College of Theology in Kent and Southwark. Their research is currently focussed on theologies of safeguarding and human flourishing. 

Thomas is a co-founder and co-ordinator of the Young Anglican Theology Project, raising the profile of young Anglican theologians around the world. And they are Secretary of the European Province of the Society of Catholic Priests, which fosters inclusive catholic priestly spirituality and evangelism within the Anglican churches of Europe.

Thomas has worked in cathedrals, parishes and education settings and brings a vocation to be ‘a visible queer’, a person to talk to, and an ally and advocate for others, particularly trans and global majority heritage LGBTQIA+ people in the church. Thomas is autistic. Their partner, Evan, is a parish priest in Kensington.
