The Removal of the Church of England's Independent Safeguarding Body - OneBodyOneFaith Calls for an Urgent Review

OneBodyOneFaith is shocked and concerned by the recent announcement from Archbishops' Council. Systemic change and significant safeguarding improvement is urgently needed as the independent inquiry (IICSA) clearly evidenced. It is imperative that Archbishops entrusted with the care and safeguarding of those within their congregations listen carefully, with humility, to the expertise and advice of safeguarding leaders appointed to advise them, and to those with lived experience of trauma and harm within the church. It is essential that this advice is acted on at the earliest opportunity.
