OneBodyOneFaith Appoints Communications Manager

OneBodyOneFaith is delighted to share the appointment of August Gawen as part-time Communications Manager, joining Luke and Katie on our staff team.  

This strategic appointment will contribute to our continued growth, as we focus on our core areas of safety and joy, as well as supporting our international development in our continued partnerships and allyship with LGBT+ Christian organisations and groups around the world. 

We are incredibly grateful for the legacy received that has enabled us to create this new and exciting role. 

August shares about himself: 

‘I am delighted to be joining the team at One Body One Faith. As a Trans Christian I long to see a world where my LGBTQ+ siblings can find safety and welcome in any church. I currently attend Inclusive Gathering in Birmingham, where I am writing songs for our first inclusive worship album. I’ve spent the past 13 years working for social justice and religious organisations such as the Student Christian Movement, Safe Families and Church of England – Birmingham. I’m looking forward to meeting members in person at my first event in December.’
