LEFT (LBTQI+ women exploring faith together) Weekend 2022
28-30 October
Holland House, Cropthorne, Worcestershire
LEFT (LBTQI+ Women Exploring Faith Together) are delighted to announce that the speaker for the 2022 weekend is Professor Nicola Slee. Nicola will lead the weekend on the subject of:
Sabbath: the Hidden Heartbeat of our Lives
Many of us struggle to live a rhythm that is wholesome and healing for us personally, and also for the planet and for the others we live alongside. Sabbath as a basic principle can help us to respect our need for rest and recreation and to live with an element of restraint and limitation. This is also good for our relationships and our bodies. In this weekend, Nicola Slee will help us explore the relevance of Sabbath to our lives, drawing on her book of that name but also offering new material and ideas.
Nicola Slee is Director of Research at the Queen's Foundation, Birmingham and Professor of Feminist Practical Theology at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Her latest book is Abba Amma: Improvisations on the Lord's Prayer (Canterbury Press).
The cost of the weekend on a sliding scale is £265, £250 and £235 for full board and accommodation.
