OneBodyOneFaith welcomes the appointment of Simon Robinson as Bishop of Warrington in the Church of England

The Board of OneBodyOneFaith, the LGBTQ+ Christian movement, warmly welcomes the appointment of The Very Revd Simon Robinson, Dean of Truro and Superior of the Sodality of Mary, as the next Bishop of Warrington.

Simon brings a distinctive and deeply rooted commitment to inclusion, shaped both by his ministry and his personal journey. A proud working-class voice from Rugby, and a former primary school head teacher in London and Bristol, he has consistently demonstrated a vocation grounded in service, community, and opportunity for all.

He is a longstanding advocate for the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in the life of the Church of England, and his appointment represents a clear and encouraging step forward in the Church’s continuing journey towards greater equality, diversity, and inclusion.

We assure Simon of our prayers as he prepares for his consecration and installation later this year, and we look forward to working with him in building a Church that is truly welcoming, just, and affirming for all.
